Secure Connect Gateway (SCG) provides an automated health and system monitoring capability for your storage systems. It sends notifications to Dell Customer Support, sends data to Dell CloudIQ, and enables remote support where necessary.

To register a Secure Connect Gateway:
Steps

Select
to open the
Settings panel.

Select

Click
Configure.

Select the I agree to the terms of this telemetry notice
checkbox under the INFRASTRUCTURE TELEMETRY
NOTICE to enable the transmission of data from this Unisphere for
PowerMax.
Clear the checkbox to disable the transmission.

Enter the IP address of the Secure Connect Gateway.

Enter values for access key and PIN.

Do one of the following:
- For an external connection (a direct
connection between Unisphere and the Secure Connect Gateway - one connection
is allowed per Secure Connect Gateway), first-time registration is achieved
by entering a value for the Secure Connect Gateway IP address and your Dell
online account login and password. If a Secure Connect Gateway server
certificate has not been added previously, add the certificate by clicking
Choose File. If a certificate has been added
previously, select the Enable Certificate Validation
checkbox.
| NOTE: If you
register a second time, no login and password credentials are required
(fields to enter credentials are not visible). |
- For an internal connection (a tunneled internal connection within the storage system that is only available in an embedded Unisphere for PowerMax), select the
use internal connection checkbox and enter your Dell online account login and password.
